Man riding at Lake Leatherwood

Lake Leatherwood

Lake Leatherwood

Lake Leatherwood created a destination for trail users. With camping, XC trails, and a lake already existing, this project would grow the trail system and tourism for those seeking a downhill trail experience. Exciting features include built rock hubs, jumps, lilypad, and drops. Leatherwood has amenities that are not common to downhill parks, like having the ability to shuttle riders brings more to the area. The trails are free of charge; although the shuttle service is not, it has been profitable for the city of Eureka Springs. Why is the project special? With Leatherwood being Arkansas’s first shuttle-oriented downhill trails system, this would help bring another element of Mountain Biking to the OZ Trails network.
